Pence specializes in design, planning, and construction of buildings for military, industrial, and
commercial applications using a unique collaborative approach developed over many years.

Design Build

Howard W. Pence, Inc. has led numerous Design-Build projects and understands the unique
complexities and advantages of the arrangement. Partnering with our customers has long been
an integral part of our success. The established corporate policy of involving the project
designers with the construction management team and the facility users throughout the design
and construction has proven invaluable in the continuing growth of our satisfied client base.

Construction Management

To construct the highest quality, cost-effective build that meets or exceeds the needs of the
customer, we assemble a cohesive team of highly experienced estimators, schedulers, project
managers and superintendents that deliver solutions by providing the best balance of cost,
function, efficiency, maintainability, sustainability, and delivery for the customer. Howard W
Pence, Inc. provides overall Project Management services by defining technical, safety, quality
control, financial, schedule, and resource requirements and managing day-to-day operations to
assure compliance.

Quality

We take great pride in our craft at Howard Pence, Inc. For over 50 years we have made a name for ourselves by providing the best finished product in the business. We understand that if the customer isn’t pleased with the final product, we have not done our job.

Safety

Safety is the responsibility of every employer, from project manager to laborer. When safety is at the forefront for everyone, injuries are minimized. Hazardous activity are identified at the outset of a project by the project manager and safety officer;extra precautions are taken to avoid slip ups. Weekly safety meetings are conducted on every job and all employees are required to attend. Howard Pence Inc. has an outstanding safety record and we insist on maintaining it.

On Time

Every project experiences delays. We try to anticipate potential delays and prepare for them so that no project extends beyond the completion date, and we often finish early by doing so. With over 50 years experience, we have the ability to foresee almost every type of delay, from weather to site conditions, and because we can see it coming, we can minimize the impact.

Under Budget

We want to deliver every project under budget. We do so by employing experienced and innovative field staff that are capable of delivering cost-effective alternative solutions to all of the hurdles that develop after a contract has been awarded. A job with no changes is excellent, but its also rare. Our commitment is to minimize the impact to the best of our ability.

Sustainability

Our staff features LEED Accredited Professionals that guide our company wide effort to use environmentally friendly construction procedures to produce environmentally friendly finished products. We attempt LEED rating recognition on every project and regularly exceed the regulation standards.
