Our Leadership Team
Mike officially joined the company after receiving his Bachelor degree in Business Administration in 1971. However, most of his weekends and summer breaks while growing up were spent on the job site with his father. His capabilities include construction management, project administration, quality control, and estimating. Mike serves as the chief financial officer for the company and manages the real estate development.
David Pence – P.E.Co-President/Secretary
David joined the company in 1984 after receiving his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and attaining his Kentucky Professional Engineer License. Just as his brother (Mike), David has worked for the company as a laborer since he was old enough to push a broom. His capabilities include construction management, project administration, quality control, and estimating. David serves as the scheduler for the company and manages the design build projects.
Patsy PenceReal Estate Manager
Patsy joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 1979 with a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education. She has served in every administrative position within the company and currently acts as the Real Estate Manager.
Opal joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2002 and has 40 years of office experience with 25 years in the construction industry. She manages subcontractor compliance, job cost tracking, cash flow management and general office management.
Theodore Rue AmmonsSafety Director
Rue joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2017 as the Safety Officer for our Fort Knox operations. Rue holds a Bachelor degree in Healthcare Management and Human Resources. He is a certified Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction. Rue serves as the Corporate Safety Director.
Kirk CollardProject Manager/Estimator
Kirk joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2019 with an education in Construction Management. He has over 20 years experience in construction with 10 of those years in Government contracting. His capabilities include construction management, project administration, quality control, and bidding. He serves as the Federal Contract Manager.
Bobby ComptonFt. Campbell Senior Project Manager
Having grown up in contracting, Bobby joined Howard W Pence, Inc. in 2005 as a skilled laborer. With more than 25 years of experience, Bobby holds the title of Senior Project Manager at Howard W Pence, Inc. -Ft. Campbell Office.
Rick DavisProject Manager
Rick joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2021. With more than 40 years of mechanical experience, Rick brings on-the-job knowledge to the company. Rick works directly with our Project Managers and On-Site Supervisors to assist in project administration, quality control, and bidding.
Rick EvertsProject Manager/Lead Estimator
Rick joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2016 with over 40 years of experience in construction with 20 of those years in Government contracting. His capabilities include construction management, project administration, quality control, and bidding. Rick serves as the Lead Estimator and Unit Price Contract manager.
Jake MillerQuality Control Manager
Jake joined Howard W. Pence, Inc in 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Business & Economics and an Associate Degree focusing in Architectural Sciences. His capabilities include project management, quality control and safety. Jake serves as Regional Project Manager on projects from $2 million to $36 million throughout the Southeast.
Matthew NanceProject Management Professional
Matthew joined Howard W Pence, Inc. in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and an Masters Degree in Education. His capabilities include project administration, quality control, and safety compliance. Matthew serves as Design Build Coordinator and Project Facilitator.
Jessica PergusonCommercial Real Estate Specialist
Jessica joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2013 and holds an Associates degree in Business Administration/Management. In 2016, she transitioned to the Real Estate division where she coordinates the daily operations for all real estate holdings.
Lori StallingsPayroll Specialist
Lori joined Howard W. Pence, Inc. in 2020 with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. With more than 10 years working in accounting, Lori serves as our Payroll Specialist and manages Certified Payroll for our subcontractors.
